The Martin Memorial United Methodist Church of Detroit, Texas, in the East District of the Conference, welcomes Dr. Donald W. Haynes for a series of Revitalization services beginning on April 21, 2013 eleven a.m. worship hour. Dr. Haynes will also preach Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings at seven p.m.

Dr. Haynes enjoys a large readership of his regular articles in the United Methodist Reporter entitled Wesleyan Wisdom. He is author of a book, On the Threshold of Grace, Methodist Fundamentals, and has been invited to write another book celebrating the two hundred seventy fifth anniversary of John Wesley’s Aldersgate experience.
Dr. Haynes is a retired member of the Western North Carolina Conference, has served as a seminary professor for twelve years, and continues to serve as a Wesleyan scholar teaching and preaching revival and revitalization to the people of the Church he loves and to which he has devoted his ministry.
Dr. Haynes and his wife Joan reside in Ashboro, North Carolina. Pastor Gerald Irvin invites all to attend and welcomes church leaders to examine the “vital signs” of their churches in the light of the wisdom of Dr. Haynes.
