The UMW of Friberg-Cooper UMC in Wichita Falls visited the Colonial Ridge Nursing Home to bring some Mother’s Day cheer to residents.
Events included a Mother, Daughter, Sister and Friend Banquet with the theme “Women in Mission and Women of the Bible.” Linda DeMoss, a registered nurse from Bowie, spoke about her two trips to India, which included doing physicals of children.
UMW members also visited nursing homes in Wichita Falls, where they led songs and gave the residents Mother’s Day cards, book- marks in the shape of the cross, and socks.
Friberg-Cooper UMW plans to do a similar program for the men for Father’s Day.
