Contemporary Worship Leader

First United Methodist Church of Victoria, Texas is seeking a people oriented, dynamic, part-time Contemporary Worship Leader to establish, form and grow a Contemporary Worship Service.

The ideal candidate should possess sufficient musical, speaking, organizational  and technological skills to schedule, arrange, and direct all aspects of the worship service. This individual should have the ability to recruit, train, and lead a worship team. the Worship Leader will oversee audio/visual presentations necessary to conduct the worship service, including song lyrics, scripture, liturgical texts, etc. All logistical considerations for the Worship Service will be the responsibility of the Worship Leader, in consultation with the Senior Pastor.

The individual should be comfortable with the theology, traditions and practice of the United Methodist Church. This individual will have a humble, teachable spirit with a passionate growing relationship with Jesus Christ. The Worship Leader will work with all of the church staff and answer directly to the Senior Pastor.
