Lead Infant II Teacher (15 months – 24 months)
The Dallas Bethlehem Center, located in the Southern sector of Dallas is seeking a Lead Infant II Teacher for a full-time teaching position.
Position Summary:
The Infant II teacher is responsible for all aspects of the care and education for the children enrolled in his/her class. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: physical care-giving, developmental assessments, following an age appropriate curricular plan, and facilitation of supportive relationships with co-workers, parents, students and management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree in early childhood education or human development, CDA credential w/3 renewals and minimum of 5 years teaching experience
- Pass the criminal background check and obtain finger printing.
- Comfortable with team-based work structure, ability to demonstrate flexibility on the job.
- Demonstrate initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility.
- Maintain regular observation and evaluation of children’s development and progress as directed by administration.
- Maintain portfolio for each child
- Complete weekly lesson plans, goals, and newsletters.
- Accept and maintain responsibility on a daily basis for the ordered arrangement, appearance, décor and cleanliness of the learning environment of the classroom
- Plan and implement age and developmentally appropriate classroom practices that will include the areas of spiritual, physical, emotional, social and cognitive needs of the young children.
- Serve as a role model for the children in the areas of attitude, speech and actions on a daily basis.
