Elizabeth K. Besterfeldt was born in Baltimore, MD. Beth earned a B.S.in Business from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, and a M. Div. from Perkins School of Theology, SMU, Dallas. She had 20 years employment in administration and was a computer operator at SMU Perkins. Beth is a member of Axe Memorial UMC, Garland. Elizabeth, who is now married to John Drummond, is the mother of college student, "Woody" Besterfeldt.
Walter R. Butts, Jr. was born in Montgomery, AL. Walter earned a B.A. from University of Texas, and a M.Div. from Perkins School of Theology, SMU, Dallas. Walter served as Youth Director at First UMC, Heath; in Program Ministries at Lakewood UMC, Dallas; local pastor at Suncreek UMC, Allen; and is currently pastor at First UMC, Celina. Walter and his wife, Fiona, are parents of a young son, William.
Nancy M. DeStefano was born in Plainfield, NJ. Nancy earned B.A. from Montclair State College, NJ, an M.A. from Immaculate Conception, NJ, and served in the Roman Catholic Church. Nancy completed Advanced Courses of Study from Perkins School of Theology, SMU, Dallas, and is a pastor at First UMC, Bells. Nancy and her husband Ed are parents of three adult children, Katie, Megan, and Kevin.
Michael R. Langdon was born in Fort Worth, TX. Michael earned a B.B.A. in Industrial Management from North Texas State University, Denton, an M.Div. magna cum laude from Perkins School of Theology, SMU, Dallas. Michael has served Community UMC, Fairfield, CA in administration and Lovers Lane UMC, Dallas, in its youth ministry. He is presently serving Grace UMC, Dallas. Michael and his wife Mary are parents of Christopher and Meredith.
A. Marie Mitchell was born in Wichita Falls, TX. Marie earned a B.A.in Journalism from Angelo State University, San Angelo, TX and an M.Div. from Perkins School of Theology, SMU, Dallas. She is serving as associate pastor First UMC, Duncanville. Marie is the parent of daughter Danielle Clayborne.
Dana G. Norton was born in Lake Charles, LA. Dana earned a B.S. from Texas A&M, Commerce, and the M.Div. from Brite Divinity School, Texas Christian University, Fort Worth. She is associate pastor at Plymouth Park UMC, Irving. Dana and her husband Andrew are parents of Naomi.
Denise P. Peckham was born in New York City, NY. Denise earned a B.A. from Manhattanville College, NY, and is completing the M.Div. from Perkins School of Theology, SMU, Dallas. Denise is serving as a Student Local Pastor at Holy Convenant UMC, Carrollton. Denise and her husband John are parents of Nicholas and Thomas.
