2010 Robertson Awards

Krum UMC, its pastor and two members were big winners in 2010 Robert L. Robertson Awards for Excellence in Communications competition sponsored by the NTC’s Commission on Communications.

The awards were presented at the June 7 Communications Luncheon in Wichita Falls.

In competition for churches with fewer than 250 members, Krum UMC was honored for best website. Member Kristi Lounsbury won for best photography; member Liane McMillan won for best video, and Rev. Christy Thomas won for best newsletter.

750–1999 members: Website, Stonebridge UMC, McKinney; Video, Wes Magruder and Ron Freitag, First UMC, Rowlett; Newsletter, First UMC, Sulphur Springs; Electronic Newsletter, First UMC, Denton.
2000+ members: Website, First UMC, McKinney; Photography, Beth Smith, First UMC, Richardson; Video, Amber Rose, First UMC, Richardson; Newsletter, First UMC, McKinney; Electronic Newsletter, Christ UMC, Plano.
