National Hispanic-Latino Plan
The NTC Hispanic-Latino Ministry will hold a Sept. 8 briefing, "Catch the Flame," to explore offerings of the National Hispanic-Latino Plan for area congregations. The briefing will be 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the North Texas Conference Ministry Center located at 500 Maplelawn Drive, in Plano.
Rev. Jeannie Trevino-Teddlie, Director of the Mexican-American Program at Perkins School of Theology, SMU, will share a proved methodology of how to prepare to be in ministry to and with Hispanic/Latino individuals.
The National Plan provides a ministry vision based on the account of Pentecost in Acts 1:8, in which Jews from throughout the Roman world were able to hear the mighty works of God in their own language. Members of the NTC Hispanic Task Force have been working with the plan with the goal of strengthening Hispanic ministry in Dallas and surrounding counties.
