2008 NTC Clergy Spouses Retreat

The 2008 NTC Clergy Spouses retreat will be Jan. 25-27 at the Prothro Center at Lake Texoma. Dr. Paula Dobbs-Wiggans, a psychiatrist in private practice and faculty member at Perkins School of Theology, will be the keynote speaker.

Theme for the retreat is: "R...R...R...RETREAT!"

The agenda will include time to relax, sit quietly and meditate and to cultivate friendships. Friday evening will include registration, dinner and get acquainted activities. Saturday will include the speakers and special treats, along with a game night. The retreat concludes after Sunday brunch.

Dr. Dobbs-Wiggans is a member of Saint Luke "Community" UMC, Dallas, where she directs the children’s choirs. She is also a wife and mother who brings a first-hand experience of how to maintain a balanced life and nurture one’s soul amid the stress of life today.

Cost for the retreat is $110. Friday night and Saturday day, or Saturday day and night are both $60, and Saturday day only is $40. Scholarships are available for those who require financial assistance in order to attend. Registration fees include room, linens, meals (except Saturday evening) and snacks.
