Clergy candidate profiles invited

Clergy who are interested in being elected as delegates to the 2008 General and Jurisdictional Conferences are invited to submit profiles that will be assembled in a booklet and distributed at the clergy session of the 2007 North Texas Annual Conference. The heads of the orders of elders and deacons, with the support of the leader of the 2004 General Conference delegation, are initiating this process in order to provide information for voting clergy members of the annual conference.

Any NTC deacon or elder who is willing to serve is invited to participate by filling out the profile form and submitting it to ntcclergy@verizon.net, so it can be printed and distributed. Each profile should be limited to one, front-sided, letter-sized page. May 21 is the deadline for submitting profiles.

The profile form may be accessed from www.ntcumc.org or by request at ntcclergy@verizon.net. The NTC Board of Laity is conducting a similar process, as announced in the April 20 North Texas Conference UM Reporter. Guidelines for laity wishing to make themselves available for election as General Conference delegate are also available by logging on to www.ntcumc.org.
