C.C. Young, Dallas: Benefit guests learn about 'The Point'

Ray and Nancy Ann Hunt, members of First UMC, Richardson, and long-time supporters of C.C. Young, Dallas, a retirement center related to the North Texas Conference, hosted an evening of dining and music on Oct. 18 to benefi t The Point, Center for Arts and Education.
The gala dinner was held at the Hunt Consolidated headquarters Building in downtown Dallas. Guests included church, business, education and civic leaders who learned more about the programs, events and educational activities offered to the community through The Point.
In his remarks, Ray Hunt provided data on the extent of opportunities and challenges regarding the aging population. He referred to the long association he and Mrs. Hunt have had with C.C. Young and thanked persons who have contributed to the success of the institution.
Noting that C.C. Young serves as a model that society will need to emulate in the future, Hunt discussed the need to assure continuity of services for the burgeoning population of persons over 65. In closing, he cited a quote from Mahatma Gandhi, “We must be the change we wish to see in the world.”
