Farewell to Peyton Drive

5/25/2007

From left, Mission Director Mary Brooke Casad, Office Manager Pat Birdwell, and Receptionist Gloria Vuocolo pack one of the hundreds of "rent-a-crates" that transported NTC materials to the new Ministry Center at 500 Maplelawn Drive in Plano.

New NTC Ministry Center schedules An Open House , June 4, 6:00 p.m. and Consecration Services, 7:30 p.m.

The Open House and Consecration Service for the recently opened NTC Ministry Center will be June 4 beginning at 6:00 p.m. Bishop Alfred L. Norris will lead in the consecration service at 7:30 p.m.

Building Committee chair Rev. Gary Mueller, First UMC, Plano, says, "We are very excited that the Ministry Center is now open and hope the Annual Conference members and other guests will join us for this special time of consecration and celebration."

The service will include dedication of the Rhymes H. Moncure, Jr. Bishops' Chapel. The Ministry Center fulfills the late Bishop Moncure's dream of a place that will bring the Conference together in worship, ministry, and fellowship.

All are invited to this historic moment in North Texas Conference life. The evening will include tours of the building and a reception.

The Ministry Center is located at 500 Maplelawn Drive, Plano. It is immediately north of the George Bush Turnpike, east of Coit Road.

To make the special evening go smoothly, visitors are asked to car pool. There is limited parking around the center, and a shuttle service from the John Paul II High School parking lot will be available. The school is located at 900 Coit Road at Plano Parkway.

Participants are encouraged not to park in the lots next to Central Market and the surrounding businesses.
