Bishop Arts District, ArtSpirit, co-host free range art project

The Bishop Arts District Merchant Association, in conjunction with ArtSpirit Dallas, announce the First Annual Bishop Arts District Free Range Art Project on Saturday and Sunday, February 23 and 24, 2008.
Patterned after a festival in Avila, Spain, this two-day competition will showcase local area landmarks and points of interest as the subject matter of participating artists. Bridwell Library of Perkins School of Theology, SMU, will present a free exhibition of "Methodism in the American South, Foundation through Reunification," Jan. 28 thru July 11,2008. Happy New Year!
Congregations throughout the NTC began a new Christian year Dec. 2 as the first candle glowed on the Advent Wreaths and Emmanuel, God with us, is invited and anticipated into our midst.

As their Oct. 27 salute to "Make a Difference Day," the national day of volunteering, more than 500 elementary-aged "agents" with MISSION POSSIBLE KIDS made a significant impact by helping 26,000 people. Agents from chapters in Texas, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and other states pulled together to show that children can make a difference in the world.

Three days after its fundraising "Evening Under the Stars" on Nov. 9, Wesley-Rankin Community Center was energetically back to earth serving the multi-cultural community it calls home in West Dallas.

"How to Develop a Coaching Ministry," a workshop for new church starts, high impact churches, and turn around churches is scheduled Jan. 9-10 at the NTC Ministry Center, 500 Maplelawn, Plano, TX.
