2010 Strategic Planning
The strategic plan of the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church was adopted at the 2010 Annual Conference. The plan is designed to direct money and resources to the mission field. There are four major focus areas of the plan.
- Combating the diseases of poverty by improving health globally.
- Engaging in ministry with the poor.
- Creating new places for new people and revitalizing existing congregations.
- Developing principled Christian leaders for the church and the world.
The plan also realigns the districts of the conference. Reducing the number of districts from 6 to 4, implementation of the plan began immediately.
