CareerConnection provides a weekly career networking program at University Park United Methodist Church for those who are seeking employment. A New Member Orientation meets Tuesdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and a General Session with a speaker is held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
“A job loss is one of the top three stressors a person can face in life,” said Don Brock, chairman of the CareerConnection board. “Networking is the most effective way to land a job. We provide leads as well as meaningful information and support during the job search process.”
This nonprofit organization, established in 1992, is the largest and oldest networking and career management organization in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. CareerConnection assists all levels of professionals, from entry to senior executives, by providing a variety of programs and services, including General Sessions, workshops and Career Management Groups, which cover multiple disciplines and industry segments. Workshops and special programs provide interaction with other professionals and develop skills that will improve career prospects and lifetime career management. Members have access to a job bank and a database of alumni who found employment and are eager to help others.
