2016 Worship

The lifeblood of any annual conference experience is our communal worship! Come and gather with other United Methodists to be energized and inspired to be a powerful WITNESS for Jesus Christ!

Opening Worship on Sunday evening will feature a mass choir comprised of musicians from St. Luke, St. Paul, and Hamilton Park UMC and featuring the phenomenal Cynthia Wilson as worship leader. The service will include our Time of Remembrance as we celebrate those who have so faithfully served The United Methodist Church as clergy or spouses. We will commission young people who will be participating in Project Transformation, Lydia Patterson Institute, Bridgeport Conference Center, SIM Fellowships and the C2K programs. Bishop William T. “Bill” McAlilly of the Tennessee Conference will powerfully proclaim the Word of God.

Monday evening worship will highlight the Service of Ordination and Commissioning. Bishop McAlilly will preach again in a worship experience featuring more great music provided by Cynthia Wilson and the magnificent adult choir from St. Andrew United Methodist Church directed by Taylor Davis.

Cynthia Wilson, our guest musician, will participate in all worship experiences throughout the Conference including a Baptismal Renewal Service Monday morning and our Service of Holy Communion as appointments are set for the new year.
