Perkins School of Theology goes big with windshield time for its message.
“It’s our hope that this billboard will draw passers-by – which total more than 5 million each month — into thoughtful discussion about opportunities available to them at Perkins,” said Matt Jacob, associate director of public affairs and alumni relations.
Rev. Jacobs said he is humbled to be selected to appear on the billboard.
“It is an honor to represent such a great and impactful school of theology where I received my theological grounding, spiritual formation, and built relationships with some really great people,” he said. If people are motivated to attend Perkins and go on to kingdom-building, “then the billboard has done its job.”
Perkins spokesman Jacob said, “There is potential that we will use other Perkins alumni in a future iteration of this campaign. As of now, though, we haven’t identified who those individuals would be.”
For now, the billboard message is being switched from the northbound side of Central to the southbound, where it will remain until the end of May.
