Wesley-Rankin Community Center is recruiting Summer Camp Team Members for the B3X program to lead a pre-determined curriculum for all programming and activities, chaperone field trips, and oversee a variety of curriculum components.
B3X is an interactive, high-energy enrichment camp focusing on science, math, music and the arts for children in grades 1-8. B3X provides hands-on experiments and projects to engage children in learning. AmeriCorps members will be responsible for leading a pre-determined curriculum for programming and activities, chaperoning field trips and overseeing a variety of curriculum components. In addition, members will interact with, train and coordinate daily volunteer groups.
The B3X summer program runs May 29 through Aug. 3, 2018, Monday through Friday.
- High school graduate
- Aged 17 or older by June 1, 2018
- US citizen or permanent resident
- Clear criminal background check
- Experience with art, music, science or teaching is helpful, but not required
- Interest, patience, and compassion in working with children and families
$1,800 Total summer living allowance (divided and paid biweekly)
$1,230 Educational voucher for college or post high school education
